Orly Cohen is a trained teacher with 23 years of experience.
She trained and worked with Professor Reuven Feuerstein at the Institute for the Enhancement of Learning Potential (ICELP) in Jerusalem- Israel.
While at the institute, Orly met many British parents who had children with learning difficulties. After spending time at the institute with their children, these parents realised that there was no comparable Centre in the UK where children could learn and develop as they could in Jerusalem.
Orly was invited to work in several countries in Europe, including for a new charity here in the UK. She was granted a work permit and in fact was the first teacher in this new charity.
She worked for this charity for four and a half years and, and then decided to leave and work independently. She and her partner Peter Edmonds then opened The Thinking and Learning Skills Centre.

Between 1959 and 1970, Peter took University degrees at Trinity College Dublin and London [LSE external] in, firstly, History, Economics and Philosophy; and then in Sociology, specialising in
Social and Industrial psychology. After that he took up a position as Research Assistant and Tutor in Social theory and Research methods at Cardiff university.

In 1971, he moved to industry and worked over a period of 24 years in global organisations as a consultant in developing methods of assessing the potential of recruits; improving people's performance; and helping managers introduce effective organisational change. This work took him throughout Europe, to the United States, to India and to Japan.

In 1995, having come across the work of the world-renowned Cognitive

He continued his formal training, qualifying eventually as a trainer himself and has worked to the present day, primarily as a teacher in IE, in London and the South East.
